Benjamin Moore White Sand OC-10 Southern California Consultation

There is something about Solana Beach California that is mesmerizing.   Must be that San Diego utopian weather, or the natural beauty of the Pacific Ocean, or perhaps both.   But its magical, no doubt.

This color and design consultation was for a beach rental townhome on Solana Beach filled with fun sun drenched activities.   Surfing USA!

Lets start with a beautiful photo of that drop dead gorgeous beach at sunset.   Wow.  Amazing.

Solana Beach, San Diego County

The wall color is Benjamin Moore White Sand OC-10, an off-white with a light, earthy taupe sensibility.  The color has a lot of substance for an off-white.

White Sand is a great choice when you are considering Benjamin Moore Cedar Key for a space, but the red undertone in Cedar Key is reading too strong for the space.  In comparison to Cedar Key, White Sand leans towards yellow and reads more neutral.

Of course all colors have to be viewed in the actual space since color changes with context and the environment.

The home is close to Del Mar Race  Track,  the famed American Thoroughbred Club, whose slogan is - where the surf meets the turf.

We used natural furnishings juxtaposed with traditional and modern pieces throughout the project to create a eclectic mood reflecting the fun and diverse personality of Southern California.

Notice how the neutral White Sand walls acts as a neutral foil, allowing pops of vivacious colors in accessoires and furnishings to create a lively ambiance.

The art decor above the wine rack is a nod to the exciting horse racing festivities.

Vacation rental homes, work well with some theme pieces in the concept to reinforce the fun loving aspect of vacationing and holidays.

And Solana Beach is all about fun in the sun.
