She also grew tired of her bold previous paint colors, and wanted an entirely new sensibility.
The theme was to keep the walls warm but neutral, and bring rich colors in through decor and fixed elements such as kitchen cabinets, stone, etc.
The main footprint is an open plan.
The paint colors for the kitchen, eating area, family and living room are painted a warm neutral, Benjamin Moore Navajo White.
Navajo White looks lovely with this Noble Hill stone wall surrounding the living room fireplace. Golden honey wood floors flow through the entire house.

Rich cherry cabinets and yellow river granite adorn the new kitchen and add warmth to the main areas, as the kitchen can be viewed from all the main rooms.
Foyer and Hall are painted Benjamin Moore Gentle Cream. This rich beige allows the high open foyer to soar, and yet, still be warm and inviting at the same time. It is a great foil for a colorful earthy painting or wall hangings.
Master Bedroom Suite is painted Benjamin Moore Woodlawn Blue. When choosing a blue paint, it in necessary to pick one with gray in it or it will be way too vibrant.
The Office has built in shelves painted Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace. The walls are painted a 75% formula of Benjamin Moore Stonington Gray. This means that the new color is 25% lighter than the original color.
All the trim work and doors in the house are painted Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace, which makes a beautiful crisp contrast to the wall colors.
In my 15 years of design/construction experience, I have never met a family so upbeat and organized in the chaos of a major renovation. They were a delight.
